It has been a while, I guess. I haven't felt like it lately. I also haven't felt like scrapping. It's inconvenient because it's my summer vacation and I've got all this time. Usually, when I have the time to scrap I don't feel like it. Then when I don't have the time, I really want to scrap and I put off doing stuff I really should be doing like grading or lesson plans. But it all gets done in the long run, I guess.
Over the weekend we had a big party for my Dad's 60th birthday. We managed to totally surprise him so that was pretty awesome. Here are some pictures.
Here's Dad looking at the album I made for him.
And here's Aaron with Johnny Paulhus and his fiance Liz.
And here's grillmaster Ryan.
Mom and Kelley.
And a quilt that my Aunt Marie-Jeanne made for Dad.
There's a water balloon heading for Dad.
Attack from above (my cousins Kiersten, Margaret and Liana - and Derek might be up there too).
Zachary is silly.
Adam and baby Clayton.
And my new friend Nathan.
So this was a really fun party. Lots of work. I baked 72 cupcakes. And the album took like 10 hours. And Ryan designed buttons for everyone to wear featuring old pics of Dad, which Kelley's Mom Bev was nice enough to make for us. Everyone put so much work into making it great. Gio and Candido came and played some songs with Aaron and Nick and people danced. And we played Dad trivia (Nathan won - I'm not sure how he managed that). And Dad had a water ballon Battle Royale with the girls (guess who ended up all wet. Not Dad). So much fun. And Dad had a great time. And that's what matters most.
