Cocoa Daisy's October kit is called Farmer's Market. It's very autumnal and warm. I had a chance to do a couple layouts with it over the weekend. It was good to dig into some paper. Here are a couple peeks at my layouts...
That honeycomb stamp comes with the kit - it's awesome!
The full kit will be revealed next week, so stay tuned!
hello! I'm really into mini-books lately. Since I just completed my summer book, I put one together for some of my fall pictures. This one features a bunch of papers and embellishments from Cocoa Daisy's September kit, Printer's Drawer. The main kit is actually sold out, but there are still some add-ons available.
I'll share the rest of it when it's all full of pictures and words. It's put together in the same way as Paola's book and Claire's book. It's one of my favorite bookbinding techniques, lately. I put together a tutorial on how to do it for the Cocoa Daisy blog.
I spent a ton of time this weekend working on stuff for school. I'm afraid this year's going to be like that. I don't mind because I really like my students and I love my subject, but I'll definitely have less free time for projects. But I did manage to finish up this album I posted previews of a couple months ago. I made this album at the beginning of summer. It just needed pictures and words to be added in.
I think this album is from October Afternoon, but I'm not positive. I'm terrible with manufacturers these days. The pages are made to look like old flashcards.
I was on a feathers and lace kick. So there's a lot of that going on.
I little tied-up ledger sheet for hidden journaling on this page.
I hate the yellow tape on that page, above. But I couldn't get it off without ripping stuff. So I tried to cover it up with masking tape. Now it's just a mess. Sigh.
Most of the journaling is cut off in my pictures. Mainly because it's just not that interesting. For example, on this page I talk about how I did a bunch of chemistry this summer to get ready to teach AP. Which was fun for me, but not that interesting for you to read about.
And the last page is an envelope. I stuffed in a bunch of my nerdy to-do lists from the summer.
Whew. That was a lot of pictures. Now I'm going to bed because I'm really trying not to be perpetually exhausted this school year.
