Thanksgiving favorites

Thanksgiving is always at my uncle and aunt's house and it's always nice, but this year, I really had a blast. It was great to catch up with my cousins (and a couple of my brothers I don't get to see all that often). And I got to gobble up Baby Claire, who is cuter every time I see her even though that hardly seems possible. Here are a few pictures...

Seriously, we can't get enough of that baby.

Evolving

Today, I wanted to share some recent Instagram snapshots of my house. Things are gradually taking shape, although I feel like I've still got a million projects to do. 

The cat's pajamas print from the Black Apple is the newest addition. 

I'm not super keen on fake flowers, and real flowers are kind of a pain to keep up. But I've been rocking these shimmery berries for a while. I really love them. 

I didn't make this afghan, but my goal for the winter is to learn to crochet. I think I can take lessons at the yarn store in Putnam. Will look into it. 

Man, I love ridiculous ceramic objects. 

And I'm feeling the need to embroider more words soon. I just need to find a suitable quote or lyric.

Someday, there will be pictures of entire rooms. Right now it's just little corners that I'm happy with.

from last weekend. I really got a lot done. When work gets busy, I feel like my creativity is sapped. But I feel like I found it while working on layouts for the crop, and it felt good. 

We'll be picking winners for all the crop challenges really soon. The deadline is 8PM eastern today. It's been exciting to see all the wonderful work our members have created!

By the way, I just got December's kit, Amber Snowflake, in the mail and it's absolutely stunning and possibly a new favorite and I've already started working with it. I love non-traditional Christmas kits. Though we're also offering an absolutely gigantic Christmas kit for those of you who want to do a December daily or just stock up on all the newest Christmas goodies. The Christmas kit is on sale now!

Fall Crop

Just popping in for a second to post a few of my layouts from Cocoa Daisy's Fall Crop this weekend. There are tons of awesome challenges on the message board right now (twenty, to be exact), and you can play along all week. You have until the 20th to submit entries for the challenges, and there are prizes! Yay prizes!

This is my favorite one, although it might contain a lie. I change my mind a lot. It's for my letterpress challenge. Try it, please! I'm so curious about how people will interpret it.

I might actually blog every day this week, because I got a ton of layouts done this weekend! 

November at Cocoa Daisy

Our November kit is called Bed & Breakfast. I got a couple of the add-ons with this one, too. It's one of my favorites! I especially love the Amy Tangerine goodies. Really cute. So far, I've got a couple layouts to share, and more are coming along soon. We're having a crop next weekend and you should definitely join us for fun challenges and prizes!

Just some tiny little corners in my house that I love. 

The fact that I'm scrapping inanimate objects means I haven't taken enough pictures of people lately. When I'm hanging out with people, I often forget to take pictures. It's a problem.
